Spectacular September
Hello CK Westbrook readers,
Wow, September has flown by. As they say, time flies when you’re having fun.
The Aftermath was published on Friday, September 13 with no bad luck!
I’m extremely thankful to my readers as it has been well received, check out the reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. Yet, I still need more reviews (to feed the algorithm beast) for The Aftermath and The Judgment – let me know if you need help giving a review. Contact me at ckwestbrook.author@gmail.com
As I write this, Hurricane Helene hit Florida as a category 4 and has left a path of death and destruction in six states, Butch and Suni are still stuck in space, there has been at least one school shooting, the company that owns Cards Against Humanity is suing Elon Musk’s SpaceX for trespassing on their Texas land, and we are thirty-eight days away from an important election. Regulations to control global warming gases, guns, and space exploration will be on the ballot through the candidates. PLEASE VOTE WISELY!
Baltimore Comic Con
I had a blast signing and selling books at Baltimore Comic Con, “America’s Greatest Comic Book Convention” on September 20 – 22. I met many readers, authors, artists, and cosplayers. I also loved being on the History and Science in Fiction Comics panel. I’m looking forward to next year!
I made (and will make) fun videos at all the events and posted them on my Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X accounts. Check it out: CK Westbrook | Twitter, Facebook, TikTok | Linktree

Book Review & Podcast
I love Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. I was fortunate to see him in concert twice in September.
I consider Bruce a brilliant writer and artist, as well as a fantastic musician and singer. Most of Bruce’s lyrics are dark, haunting, and gritty, as he sings about the sad, brutal reality for many Americans, even when the music seems to indicate an upbeat song (see Born in the USA). I’ve always loved his album, Nebraska, his most stark, dark, and depressing album. Perhaps because I am an author who also sees, understands, and writes about the harsh realities of life. I read and LOVED the book Deliver Me from Nowhere, the making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska, by Warren Zanes. I can not recommend this book more! I guess I’m not the only one who loved it as it has been made into a movie, starring Jeremy Allen White. I have yet to see a release date but hopefully, it’s soon.
I was thrilled to be interviewed by the fabulous Jesse Jackson on his podcast, Set Lusting Bruce Springsteen. Jesse knows more about Bruce than just about any other human on the planet.
In this episode of 'Set Lusting Bruce,' host Jesse Jackson welcomes back CK Westbrook, an environmentalist and science fiction author. They discuss CK's latest book and her recent Bruce Springsteen concert experiences. CK shares her excitement about upcoming Springsteen shows, her passion for the 'Nebraska' album, and her environmental concerns in light of the current political climate. They also delve into CK's book series, 'The Impact Series,' which explores dark, apocalyptic themes inspired by real-world issues such as gun violence and space pollution. https://www.ckwestbrook.com/

Until next time!
I can’t express the deep gratitude I have for my readers. Thank you for coming on this fantastic adventure with me!
